Ride height again again again

I know its been mentioned loads of times before, but can someone tell me exactly where to measure the ride heights on the chassis?
I believe 145mm front and 190mm rear is the starting point?
Right, measure the main chassis members to the ground, these members run front to back of the car and are a rectanular section.
On the front, measure in the area where the front lower wishbone fixes to the chassis. On the rear, measure where the body bracket bolts on to the main member.
Because the chassis hooks up at the back you do have to go to 190mm but this will give the overal 15/20mm higher rear that Trevs like.
Cheers

this is the bit I am unsure of, is this infront of or behind the rear wishbones???
Ok
On the rear, go as far back as you can, in or around the lower rear wishbone for the 190mm measurement.
However measureing each end of the outriggers is easier as Andy Guilotine says and if one end was 10/12mm higher than the other, you wouldn't be miles out.
Right, not started the set up yet, too bloody cold, but just been out and used calipers to measures offside front between the chassis rail (half way width of wishbone) and the floor.
It measures just 110mm !!!
Is this ok as long as the rear is higher by 15mm??
The car was set up by an indi last time.

Is the wishbone horizontal?
Well , just as a rough guide , used a short spirit level and both f + r wishbones on the drivers side are slightly lower at the chassis end.
I appreciate the ground may not be very level, but it gives a rough idea.
OK so now you've established that it's been lowered. If you jack the car up so that the arm is horizontal you'll have a good idea of the amount (40mm?) Then you need to check the other side.
Lower than standard looks nice but is not good for the handling. Your call.
If the dampers are reasonably new then you probably don't need a C spanner. Just take the weight off the wheels, grab the spring firmly in both hands and wind the spring and spring seat in the direction you want it to go. Check for locking spring seats first, obviously!

As I see it:-
Measuring from the outriggers gives a good indication since the chassis was built on a very accurate jig. It is not perfect because the wishbone mounting points are then welded on and the outriggers can get hit over time.
On this basis 155f and 165r was probably average from Blackpool. This should give the best performance (varying slightly from car to car.) It also gives the best speed hump clearance.
145f 160r is probably the most popular PH member setting.
Your car at 110f 125r is low but it sounds like the indi was requested to do this.
Do the tyres ever foul the bodywork? Sounds OK as it is; I would want the car higher but it’s not my car.
In short:-
Good luck and let us know what you decide and what you do.

Have I misread the 190mm rear somewhere?
I am sure I read that, is it supposed to be 145F 160R?
The indie set the car up for me, I never asked for anything other than normal.
Think I am going to raise the front to about 120 and the rear 15 mm above.
Then go on to do the camber and toe in.

I think that you have misread. 145/160 and 145/190 are the same setting; it just depends where you measure from:-

Unless he considers lowered cars to be normal you might ask for him to raise it a little.
