BB, no problem, will meet up at some point, probably the griff growl.
I looked at two on saturday, the first one near Cambridge was a lovely car and the owner was a nice guy too, but he was interested in taking my S2 in p/ex, so I had nothing to loose by having a look, but as with this sort of deal we both had different values of each others cars so we failed to reach a compromise.
but taking the S through the Hatfield tunnels was well worth the trip, big grins all round and tooting appreciation from other drivers!!!
I popped in to see a griff for sale in slough on the way back, absolutely stunning and it is its owners pride and joy, I loved it so much
by the time I had got back to Portsmouth to catch the car ferry I phoned him up and made an offer , so fingers, legs, toes, everything is crossed at the moment waiting for him to call me back.

I've been looking at the same Cambridge car, and going back for a second look and test drive this evening. I'm new to TVR's and would appreciate your opinions on the car (ideally at some point today if at all possible). I've pinged you a mail about it.

Rich... thanks guys, willdew YHM, yes it is the BRG one, I cant suss out how to put pictures on here but its p/hds classifieds, 3rd page and the fifth one down.
yes rich I deep keep it for 19months, but its my everyday cars that don`t hang around for to long, probably as I`m to tight to buy a decent one, and they are all boring boxes on wheels really!
but the S2 was a fantastic start to tvr ownership, and the griff has been my ultimate car for years, so hopefully all will be good and I can stop looking and settle down to enjoying something that I`ve been working towards for some time.
So I`ll have to come to my first griff growl and meet up and say hello!
