I know this topic has been kinda done to death but i have a question which doesnt seem to have a clear answer and i dont have a bible yet,
What is the easiest route to run the control and signal cables for the changer. My chim is 1999 "T" so im hoping that the speaker cables will already be some of the way but the changer cables are new.
The velcro suggestions seem V V V V sensible for holding the thing down as drilling holes near fuel tanks gives me the fear!!!
Hope you all have suitably recovered from new year.
Thanks for any help.

Remove cover infront of battery, feed cable up to Head unit. Keep away from all other electrical bits. I then fed cable behind the carpet on the LHS of footwell, and under the edge of the floor carpet back to the rear of the passenger seat. You then need to follow the edge or the carpet up to the rear shelf, where you should come across a reasonable size hole. feed cable through trying to get it towards the rear of the car. Open boot, remove the panel above the tank (2 self tappers from Memory) feed your hand carefully (fibre glass can be sharp) up over the wheel arch to pull through the cable. There is plenty of space to store excess cable behond the panel above the tank.
I attached the CD changer to this panel with a little panel behind for strength, worked well. ensure you have enough clearance to remove the magazine. Mounting the changer here works fine for me although you may need to be careful opening the boot when wet.

Yes - used to have 2 alpine v12s one in each cubby hole and they fitted snugly. good for adjusting levels whilst in the car. Attached to the back of the flap to aid access to the little controls and to allow them to be ajar when the amps were getting a heavy workout.
Others have fitted the slimline 6 CD changers in the cubby holes...
