What software do I need to do this.....

As this would be a quicker way of retreiving data off a remote server by browsing via a web page.
What software creates a structure like this and does it update itself if I add a file/directory or do I need to run some sort of update programme?

None as far as I am aware. The webmaster has just allowed directory browsing. This in IIS is a single click option it might be diffrent on other web servers.

This is what you get with Apache if you don't install an index.html file - the web server just gives you a directory listing instead.
