Been booking a suprise holiday for the Mrs and I but when you click on the google search or type a letter in it brings up all the things I have typed in for the last months.

Can't risk her seeing it all and have tried to delete cookies and clear history but it still remains in the google bar!

Any ideas?

(sorry if this has been asked before a lot!)

On the toolbar, click Options, Search Tab, and untick 'Save the search history across browser sessions'.

Oh, and stop surfing for porn!

You have to clear twice

1.)If you have the google toolbar installed (it is great by the way !),
click on the google logo on the left (with the black arrow head pointing down)
and click on "clear search history".

2.) Next (and this can be annoying) you have to go to google.com
click in the white search box and a long list of previous search queries appears.
Move the mouse to the first entry at the top and press the delete button (not backspace). You might have to adjust the mouse pointer as you highlight every entry and press delete. You can try holding delete down but it does occasionally stop.

Hope this helps. Still having problems ?
Drop me an email or contact no and I'll talk you through it.

If you mean the text box on the google home page then......(in IE)

tools/internet option/content tab/autocomplete/ then 'clear forms' - this will clear your autocomplete history.

Similar in firefox except it's in the privacy menu.

Edit....for the google toolbar history there is just a 'clear sarch history' button

Cracking bit of software. Useful not just for removing "evidence" too.
