Plastic screen cleaner/polish

I've used Renovo to good effect, but have now run out and seem to recall hearing good things about the Meguiars product - anyone have experience of this. Genuine user comments appreciated.

Not tried Maguires, but the Mother plastic polish works brilliantly. Much better than Rennovo that I have used before. Got rid of loads of scratches and opaqueyness.

There was a thread on it in the Chim forum a couple of months ago.

We use the Mothers stuff but have found Hindsight a much better product.have a look here.

Meguiars, good stuff, I use it at work on aircraft transparancies, Mothers is also very good.

Can't comment on Mothers glass products,
but their 3 stage wax is amazing...www.maxx-waxx.co.uk
I've got autoglym, the only one i coulod find in a shop (a while back) that said it was ok for plastic glass, smells a bit tho

I used hindsight on my old Chim, did the trick, and the screen was very scratched.

Mothers Plastic cleaner will work on the screen but the Hindsight product actually protects it in future against cracking in frost etc.
Have used it ro revive screens on Boxsters and other classics like Stags and Sp*tfires etc.
Last time I spoke to the inventor of the stuff he did comment that he was in the process of bringing out a glass cleaner that removes wiperblade scratches.

Guys, i'm going to let you into a great little secret.

A LOOONG time ago BMW developed a 'Convertible rear-window cleaner' for the Z1. To this day you can still buy it from your local BMW parts dept, and it is AMAZING! It is sworn by in the pre MY01(they changed to glass in 02) S2000 community, and used it on my Honda S2000's plastic rear screen and it came up like new!

... and the best bit is it only costs about £7 and will last you a lifetime!

The product is called 'Cabrio Heckscheiben-Reiniger' and the 75ml tube comes in a light blue box with a greenstrip on the end. The part number is 81 22 9 407 665

Give it a try, it really is superb stuff!

I will let you into a secret, i used T cut, yes i know it sounds harsh but it really did work and it's cheap too, just try a small area in the corner and see the difference.

Hindsight is good but its around £35 from what i remember, mother's £10 which also seems o.k. I think it depends on how bad condition it is in , to make your choice.
