Finally - after 20 years off the road my 3000M has a tax disc, an MOT and has deafened me all the way to Alexandra Palace where it's on teh Car Club stand this weeken - for those who can't get there and might be interested....

Many thanks to all those who worked on it - Shorty for doing the cage, Adrian Venn for getting it started and Ian at Apsley transmissions for working so hard on the engine - but most of all a big thank-you to Mike Foster at Horizn Motorsport who really has played a blinder - now we'll just have to get her run in again

Congrats, Jasper. Fine looking specimen. If it's at Back Home this year, I look forward to seeing it there.

Looking bloody good.

What's happening at Ali Pali this weekend? I've had a look on their website and can't see anything listed.

If it's interesting I might pop along in my M.

It's the London Classic Car and Bike show - Looked pretty good when I took the car down - There's a really rare wide bodied Tuscan V8 on the stand with a helluva competition history - been snoozing since 1989 Plus lots of other exotica - and a few Austin 1100's....

Beautiful,a Stunning Example.May I ask what wheels were on the car in the 3rd photo. The rear shot in the rain.I favor those types.

Well, I've just got back from Ali Pali and the M looks good. One question, did you change the hubs to fit the 17" wheels or are you running originals.

Sorry to hear about the pothole.

Also, cheers to Justine and the rest of the guys on the Stand.

In answer to queries - hubs are the same but the wheels were custome made - which makes Image so good - so the offsets are just right. The 'old' wheels are Wolfraces - except they're not - they're fake wolfraces with lots of cracks and stuff...You may be able to get Wolfrace style wheels these days, but I fancied somthing different - even if it does test my post pothole metalworking skills.
Thanks for all your comments - makes it quite worthwhile - and I get to drive it - what was that you said? I think I've got threshold shift!
