What is the fastest TVR?

Hello all, a newbie question here. I'm sure it has been asked before but discusion on the subject seems a bit thin on the ground. Now i'm not looking for the fastest individual TVR but more of a generalisation, is a 4.5 cerb faster than a S6 tuscan, is the Sagaris 'The Daddy'. Also I would be interested to find out what TVR is quicker than someting else? or it may be easier to find out what is quicker than a TVR!!! Obviously I'm talking only upto 70mph on a public road

With ref to the Sagyarse it must be quicker then the tuscan? or what was the point of it

how fast is your TVR?

)Has anyone here been to someware like santa pod and dragged any TVR against another? Would love to see a list of what TVR's have won.
Ill start, Ive a mate whos got a T350, he won a transit van!!! and it was white!! it also kept up with a murcilago (yes I know its spelt wrong) till 150 then the lambo kept pulling!

I can see a Sagaris vs Cerbera thing going on down at Pods in April....
I drove a Sagaris recently and I've gotta say that I wasn't that impressed with it's speed off the line. I honestly felt my Griff was quicker, well until I got the revs up near the limiter anyway. Must be down to the torque on the Griff coming in much lower down the revs but in 'normal' conditions the Griff is just as quick. As for handling, now that's definitely not the same!!!

In normal conditions, a good quick hatchback is as quick as either. But in a sprint, a standard Griff would be left behind. (Seen it at Zolder in the sprint the last few years with S6 engined cars vs Griffs/Chims)

It's probably my Speed 12. Depending on gearing (it has a six speed sequential Hollinger racing 'box) it'll either get to ~200mph very very quickly or ~ 240 mph very quickly!! However, it could never be described as a "production" model - as it is the only road car.

John, Bring your Sag down Santa Pod and we can put this debate to rest, I still think that a 4.5 will beat the Sag over the quarter mile (CR option or not). I am not too fussed if the Sag proves to be the quicker car, as being the current top of the range it should be.

I doubt that it will, in a straight line. The one I have driven doesn't feel as quick to 60 as my Tuscan, despite the stats. It is A LOT faster round corners though and, driven properly, should cream any other TVR and almost anything else round most tracks.
