Well in theory its so that the sport doesnt get turned into disrepute. But in reality if they wanted to let him past they could have done it.

I dont understand why They were both racing so hard right at the end (even when Montoya wasnt going to be caught), why not save their engines and save themselves the risk of collision?

Michael had 2 bad pit stops. The first one lost him about 3 seconds waiting to get out of his box and the second one was simply slow. Without those bad stops he would have been ahead of Massa and because he seemed faster, it would have set up a good Schumacher Montoya battle at the end.

Still, its all pie in the sky.

I found the race a bit disappointing - there always seemed to be considerable gaps between the first 3 or 4 and it was a real shame that Kimi went out so early. I was hoping Montoya would add some spice but he was not fast enough to make a difference.

Was a bit of a disappointing race IMO. Too many fast cars went out too early. The two Williams looked racy, and Kimi would of challenged for a win. As it stood, the honda wasnt quick enough and the fat boy in the Mclaren needs to sort himself out!

Was also a shocker for my Fantasy F1 team! Crazy Dave and Rubens let me down.

What is going on there - the car was the same as Davidson used in practice - how can the Ferrari and Honda be so different that Rubens is two seconds off the pace? Has he given up, does he fit in the car or something?

There was some mention during the commentary on the race that the Honda currently simply doesn't suit Rubens' driving style. Seems he's become a bit too reliant on Traction Control at Ferrari and the Hondas (nee BARs) have a much less intrusive system that favours Button's smoother style. Allegedly.

im sure barichello has a wierd habit of braking with his right foot, maybe it hasn't transferred over well.

Thought he had learnt how to brake with his left following on from a general lack of space in the Ferrari few years ago.

and, so what if he does - he's still 2 seconds slower than his team mate in the same car. Perhaps F1 drivers aren't that good anyway, just lucky to be in F1. Personally I think he should resign if he can't drive the car to within at least half a second of someone else in the same car. There's a brake pedal and a throttle somewhere there, he's got to start using them properly - basic stuff!
