Its here!

But its idleing at 500rpm, shouldn't they idle at 700???
How do you adjust the idle?

Also one of the cans fell off!
weld has gone from the box before the can. how much is the mid section? or can it be rewelded? has any one had the same problem?

Any advice apreciated

still must be

Nice Mota!
Mine ticks over about 750 - 800 when warm. when really cold it hunts around the 550 - 650.

To adjust? it bonnet off time (two handed for safety) remove the air filter and there is an Allen screw and a locking nut. Unlock nut adjust tick over via Allen screw and re-lock, replace air filter and bonnet.

Hope that helps

You might wan't to reattach the can before adjusting the idle.

Exhaust can be welded. Mine went in the same place and was welded rather than replaced, no further probs.

ok, after a couple of local garages sucking air through their teeth i managed to find an indi exhaust place to weld the pipe back on, altho i'm sure it cost me twice as much as if i'd had a ford or sumint.

Ladytopaz - thanks for the advice

Paul, thanks for the offer, but she was so loud that she was giving me a head ache, the hour from notts to Northants may have been too much. but its this kinda support is why PH is so good. but will let you know when i'm next in the area as my folks are in Towcester. (hope fully i wont need to borrow your welder!)

question;
who are the respected indis near Notts?
Trackcar and TMS?

whos going to chatsworth?

thanks
Custard

Low idling speed can be an indication of other problems (might need tappets adjusting). I would get it looked at just in case.
