I have no connection with the garage advertising these, but noticed a couple of real gems currently for sale that may be forum interested to fellow Porsche nuts.

Porsche 964 Turbo S..........13k miles

www.gmundcars.com/cars/541/964turbos.html

The ex Nick Faldo 1/6 uk cars.

Although this is a lot of money, it makes you think in value terms when compared to equivalent rhd 993 GT2 prices.
This is to my mind effectively a Gt2 in that it is a non standard turbos lump with lightened body and mostly RS running gear...

The second candidate for the collection;

Porsche 964 RS Clubsport NGT..............8k miles

www.gmundcars.com/cars/537/964rsngtclubsport.html

Now this car is in a very rare colour and looks amazing.

Unfortunately it may well be too good and has become a garage queen ( Hi Lee )

Price wise, it certainly wouldn't be underpriced, but I fear a years use of mixed road and track would make quite a serious dent on the cars value......hope to see it a Porsche show over the next year.

Mods, in light of recent posts...please delete above if I have broken the rules.....

Just thought others may be interested in less run of the mill cars

Nothing wrong with discussing the whereabouts and availability of rare models. About time we all read a post pointing out you'd found and bought another car though!

Daz, I would love to be able to post some good news in that respect....unfortunately the rare Porker I am looking for is even more elusive than I had anticipated. I keep telling myself the wait will be worth it!!??

I'd love that Turbo S. A friend of my fathers has one of the "other" RHD ones without the lairy interior. Considering they were £128k new and after a spirited lap round the Ring, I'd have one at that price!!!

£62k for a LHD 964rs seems steep to me, even if it is factory fresh?

Edited to ask, if it an be justified at that price, whats so different about it compared to a normal RS clubsport?

Good colour though!!

I saw these up at Gmund last week, the 964 CS is absolutely stunning, perfect in fact.
The Turbo S,is a cast iron investment but needs some TLC, it's not rough or abused, but needs lots of TLC like the wheels refurbed and someone with the patience of a saint to detail the paintwork (it's gloss black) I'm guessing it's hard work to drive being a LWT RS chassis and a big HP single turbo engine !
The doors, boot lid and engine cover/spoiler are a work of art, all in all a very rare and desirable beast.
I'd personally have Andrews mint, mint green 964 RS though ! If that makes sense.

Slippy, I have to agree with you...I too have a soft spot verging on manic desire when it comes to 64RS in mint green

For Rarity how about a 964 CS C4 lightweight for sale at a dealer in Houston 1 of only 20 ever made. From
memory less than 1k mls and price £105k plus of course import duty

C'mon Paul... go for a nice 64RS - that Signal Green one looks even nicer than Mint Green and I never thought I'd say that Or do you have your beady eye on something else and are just waiting for the planets to align?

I remember 911&PW doing an article on one of those a while ago. The ultimate RS incarnation?

Dom, agree the signal car looks great,,,but as I mentioned I think it has gone too far into garage queen/museum territory that if you actually used and enjoyed it you could easily wipe 10k+ from it's value very quickly....not my style

There was a car I was interested in that unfortunately went to a collector in the far east,,,nothing immediately on the horizon, just keeping myself liquid so I am able to act fast if the right car appears.......one day?

No RHD NGT's were built.

All LHD.

Exactly!!! Why bother making rhd cars for the NGt fia class?

I was just politely responding to the "identical" part of the post,,,,,but having said that my black 993 was identical to the green car!

OOps sorry guys! Didn't mean to imply it was NGT spec. - it was an "identical looking" - 964 RS in Lightweight trim that happened to be signal green - the only RHD made I believe.

If that Turbo S was yellow, I'd honestly be taking a long hard serious look at it.
