Hi there,
I've got a metallic, metal on metal knocking noise coming from within my steering shroud. I've removed the three screws from beneath the shroud hoping to see what was happening but it didn't appear to want to move. Is there a knack to getting in there.
What happens to the wiper delay switch and the stalks when removing?

Couldn't find anything despite rigorous searching for steering columns, shrouds, steering trim.

Cheers in advance,
Matt

I think there are two screws on the front face under plastic cabs i.e. the same face as the steering wheel......turn the steering wheel appropriately to gain access!

There is also a third bolt that needs to be undone from underneath.

Crikey, third bolt.
I've identified the three holes underneath, though I only had two screws in there.
I've also found the little plastic covers for the ones at the front.
Steve, where's the bolt?

Is it simple enough after that?

Funny, I've always found myself to be a reasonable DIYer on the cars. Used to rebuild triumphs but for some reason I am just so much more hesitant on the Chim.
thanks for the replies.
