Morning guys

I am looking to buy a road legal track car and have found one in the classifies with a 1998 919cc cbr 900 unit with unsure original millage.

Not an engine I have read about, but I know nothiing about bikes, so thought I should seek views on here.

The Fireblade engine is a very popular engine as it is easy to install and gives excellent performance and good reliability. Just make sure the oil is changed regularly and the timing chain isnt rattling away and it should be fine. Not sure on any other potential problems but in short its a good choice.

That engine is as bullet proof as bike engines get in a BEC.

Fantastic engine for BEC. They will be missed when the supplies start drying up! There's a specialist in Bury St Edmunds, AB racing, the guy's name is Andy. He's due to compete in the 750MC champs this year, builds engines for half the field... he really rates the engine.

I run one in my Stuart Taylor 'Blade, can't fault it
