Creaking Roof

The roof on my Chimaera creaks loudly just behind my head over the side window and just to the left of the rear view mirror when I go over bumps. Now, is this a case of They all do that sir or is there any remedy? Have checked and it is fitted correctly.

I don't think mine does it, but try some vaseline on the seals.

Mine did this last winter. I was so concerned I asked for it to be checked during the annual service. I couldn't find anything and neither could the garage. I took the roof section off and put a good smear of silicon grease on the rubbers and where the fabric comes into contact between roof and rear section. This solved it for me.

I get this when it is cold but then i have a painted roof so its not surprising!!!

I had this problem and solved it by lubricating the elbow joint in the aluminium stays

Thanks for all your advice, vaseline seems to have done the trick. Easy... on the roof I mean....
