I have had my 94 chim 500 for almost 9 years now and still runs a dream having had several mods over those years.
Due to business etc...I seem to use it less and less and have over the past few years had battery problems and consider myself well versed in TVR passenger footwell plumbing.
I am told that any battery if not used for period longer than 2-3 months if not isolated will ultimately deteriorate and that even using a maintenance charger etc isnt enough. The ideal solution being to isolate the battery keep under charge/ maintenance although the car electrics will be off..which i dont mind.

Can any one suggest a isolator kit with a plug & play charger to the mains.

Any threads or advice grateful and know that this subject has i'm sure been covered several times.

Cheers

I would have thought that a battery conditioner (not a battery charger) would be OK for extended periods. If you definitely want an isolator, I use a Priority Start intelligent isolator. Not many places selling them in the UK but perhaps you will get lucky with Google.

Any battery, isolated or not, will deteriorate over time. At the end of the day it's a couple of lumps of lead sitting in sulphuric acid. Lead is quite inert, but just look at the flashings on anyone's chimney to see how it reacts with just rainwater: the effect is much greater with acid than water.

The tiny constant drain caused by having the battery connected, along with the tiny charge provided by a battery conditioner will not be detrimental to the life of the battery. Plus, having the ECU permanently connected means it won't lose it's memory, and the alarm/immobiliser is less likely to play up. Unless you're racing the car I wouldn't fit an isolator.
