Karting - Nottingham-ish
Discussion
A few closet PHers had an afternoon at this place
www.lkqc.com/bookings/index.html
And a most excellent time was had by all, even if I do think I've cracked a rib
Anyway anyone up for a bit of friendly karting, it's not exactly pro-spec karting (before you start dontlift
) but fun and friendly.
If we can muster up enough interest we should be able to have our own PH session.
Have a look at the site and post your opinion on the best race format and possible dates.
And no doubt we'll all end up in a pub at the end of the day resting our tired bones

Oi ya buggers - thats not many miles away from me... could have given me a shout - it might of got me out of visiting some relatives
Does the track compare well with the outdoor place Dontlift organised? It's just been to a few dodgy indoor ones where you struggled to get 2 karts side by side.
Liked the attitude at the last Pistonheads one though... "you all know the flags don't you?"
Cheers, Phil

Sorry about that. It was organised in about 5 minutes via phone as I've only got access to PH during work time usually
The place is better than F1 Karting out towards Melton but is not in the same league as Sutton, but it's 1/2 the price
Oh and it indoors
It's relativly new so all the kit is still quite new and fresh, it's not a massive track but overtaking is possible with a few nudges and optimisic braking

The one good thing about the indoor type places is that spinning 200m of the track into another county (mentioning no names
) is not an option as the tyre walls bounch you straight back onto the track, with the added bonus of incresed personnel injury, (my ribs still hurt a week later)
Theres no way my feeble body could take the punishment of the 'survivor' after 15 minutes I need a nice sit down and a cup of coffee
