?? Washing you Can AM ??

Hey guys,

Any one out there with a Can Am that can tell me how they go about washing the car without messing up the interior? I love detailing my cars, and I need to know hoe this car can be washed without getting soap and water all over the interior.

The expert on this is undoubtedly Crazy of Cookham: the only man on the Le Mans camp site last year with a collapsable bucket and sponge. In fact this was the only luggage he carried on board his CanAm (leaving me to ferry his tent, airbed, etc.). Obviously, the adverse power to weight ratio was the only reason I couldn't match his acceleration.

I have a GTR, so it is closed, but I confess I hand wash it with very dilute soap solution in a spray bottle, and paper towels, then go over it with glass cleaner. I vacuum the road grit out of the front and rear body sections, and I even found myself picking the little bits of grit out of the tires.

It becomes a bit of a compulsion...

Very simple!!
The trick is to adjust the spray from the hose to slightly over a trickle. That way you carefully keep the water out of the cockpit.
You might increase the water pressure a tad when you're washing further away from the cockpit.
When I'm washing my CanAm, I just do a few panels at a time.
The treehuggers will love you too since you're using less water!!
