306 HDI diesel leak, X reg estate

I don't over fill but a lot of diesel leaks out of the fuel cap for quite some time after filling. Is there a known fault with the cap or anything I can do before checking with the Peugeot garage. The cap looks quite normal with no obvious adjustment possibilities. The tank does not sem to be pressurised.

Is there some sort of rubber seal that has gone Awol??

Perhals don't fill up so much, give up at the first click of the pump!

It seems like the seal is there and I only fill to 1st click. It even leaks on the motorway with no cornering forces and leaks for some time. Wierd.

Maybe your car is producing fuel and overfilling it self!!!
