Thought I would share my first attempt at track photography from this weekend at Mallory Park. Hope you like them.

Shame there's only one of the Renault 5 Turbo though...

Looks good, but I feel that there may be some scope to punch up the levels a bit and increase the "vibrancy", they seem to feel a bit flat, as the light was a bit grey.

I think 1,4,5,8 are really good. Seem to convey what it was like to be there which is excellent.

gatecrasher3, great pictures, better than mine, I was there too. All of mine are grey and flat, done a bit of tweaking but still haven't come out that well. So I think you've done well to capture the day. Where did you take picture 5 from? I spent most of my time around the hair pin waiting for some action which in hindsight was a mistake.

BRC Live was my first attempt at Motorsport photography with my Olmpus E-10. As well as the track action I popped over to the quad racing. Your veiws on these would be great. Cheers guys

Oh yeah I forgot to add my comments. I really like the first image and the one of colin mcrae (although what is he thinking lol, was just after he broke the first car if i remember right) You zoom must be better then mine as I got an image like your third one but it wasn't as close. The renault is awesome as is the next image of the mitsi. Nice capture of the clio with the wheel off the ground. Really like the audi image too. Sorry I can't offer much more constructive criticism but being a beginner i wouldnt know where to start.

And a few more. Done some more tweaking to mine this evening to try and make them a little less grey. It was a really good day lots of things going off, although bitterly cold again - anyone got any glove recommendations, ones that you can use with a camera? Bit disappointed the cars were just on the track, to me rally cars going around a circuit don't really do themselves justice, still lots of sideways action especially fromt he evo boys.

Picture 5 was taken at the little s bend at the end of the back straight iirc
