Anyone had/got a noisy fuel pump? By this I mean whining a bit more than you'd like. After 8 years of TVRs I know they are never completely silent. I find mine quietens down after a good drive, but is very whiney earlier in the journey.

Also, is there just the one pump and is it easy to get at? I only ask as my dealer mentioned a slight noise about a year ago and said it was "one of the fuel pumps probably".

Still, it doesn't seem to affect power

You sure it's not the power steering pump?

In my Tam the fuel pump purrs but the power steering pump varies from silent to hammering depending on the usual TVR variables.

Nope, unless the PAS pump has magically moved to a location under the boot floor ;-)

Well you say that but it's very hard to tell where the noise is coming from.

I thought mine was a fuel pump noise for a long time.

If I'm standing next to the car when its running I put my head near the engine - usual rattles. I put my hear near the fuel pump in the boot - whine.

Not a big deal as its quiet most of the time. Its noisy due to the usual TVR variable you mention - NNE wind on days with a y in them when I'm wearing a red shirt etc.

Picked my T350t up on the 10th. I have noticed that the fuel pump is alot noisier than the Tam, would have though they were similar?

There is an extra wine under the bonnet as well, presumably this is the aircon belt, Tam didn't have aircon.

Mine whines. I asked the dealer, he said its fine, its just normal. I also have the power steering whine. I am used to it now!

The fuel pump on my Tamora whines when it first turns on just before turning over the engine. The heater/aircon makes a faint huming noise that can only be heard when the engine isn't running.

I've never really notice either of these whilst driving the car. They we're noticeable with the Tuscan though.
