Alarm Blipper Playing Up
Discussion
Guys,
My alarm blipper is playing up. I'm sure the battery is ok, the button seems to have become depressed slightly more than usual, and it takes an age to eventually press it right in order to open the doors etc...
So, in short, can a replacement blipper be got, and if so from where, and how much?
I think this is going to become pretty desparate very soon.
Cheers in advance....

Could be that if it's one of the micro-miniature switches they use they days, it's lost its spring. Thus the button stays depressed, occasionally transmitting gibberish to the alarm, most usually just flattening the batteries. Pull the thing to bits and see if the switch still 'clicks' (techie term) properly. If you have the eyes of an owl and the hands of a paedophile, you may be able to solder a new one in (*). Of course it may be (a) not this kind of switch at all, (b) something totally unconnected, (c) they all do that, sir...

(*) Please note that whilst I am capable of soldering these switches in, my eyes are not what they used to be, and any similarity between myself and Gary Glitter is purely coincidental

IF it Isnt the Battery.
Spray i bit of wd40 in there(not too much mind), this might loosing things up, If not and its like mine use a small screwdriver and open the unit up clean under the button and prehaps add a bit rubber under the button so u can get a bit more purchase on the dutton.
Or glue some thing small to the actual button on the circuit board to give it a bit more height thus making it easier to press.
