I have had to change the configuration of our home PC and it now connects to the net with a Wireless PCI card, trouble is it freezes every time we use it and despite virus scans, de-frag and changing slots it will not work continuously, there appear to be no conflicts.

Question is, would it be likely to be any different if I get a different card? its netgear at the moment.

Suggestions?

when you say it freezes I assume you're talking about the whole machine.

You say you can scan and stuff, is this with card removed or in safe mode. is the machine OK untill you use the network?

yes, scanned in safe mode, machine fine without card in, have removed TV card as this was the only other network resource I could change.

So drivers or card then.

Can you boot in safe mode with the card installed?

If so can you remove the drivers, reboot nomally and cancel the PnP instalation? If the machine freezes without the drivers installed it's a dodgy card and you should just swap it out.
