Anyone happen to know whether the coolant temp sensor and the thermotime switch (next to each other on the inlet manifold) have the same thread sizes, to save me removing them just yet. There's no room under the hotwire fuel rail to fit the electrical plug on the innermost, and as mine doesn't use the thermotime sensor, I was going to swap positions.

My car has the cold start circuit deleted completely - I even left the wires out of the new loom - and it occurred to me that moving the temp sensor to the thermotime switch position would make it easier to change in future, but I found the threads are different.
Next best option was to fit a blanking plug in place of the t/t switch but getting the bloody thing to seal properly was a prat-on.
When I came to refurb the manifold that's on the car now, I found that the t/t switch was so corroded into the manifold that it trashed the threads coming out, so watch it if yours hasn't been out in years.

I actually had them both out a few weeks back when I had the manifold matched to the bigger trumpet base, but I just couldn't remember the sizes. At the moment I've got the coolant temp sensor connected to its plug with a couple of fly leads - not ideal - and I was looking for an alternative solution.
