cold start problem

Still having trouble starting from cold. An autotune bloke tested it and said it was a weak coil trigger signal leading to a poor spark (he tested front 2 offside plugs). Voltage on HT was 5000v and should be nearer 50000v he recks. He checked coil supply +ve and seems ok.
Starts fine and runs great once hot.
For info - it is a new & tested battery & have hooked ECU up to PC and nothing out of ordinary to report there.
Main earths ie Behind NSF wheel, behind rad on offside, one in the boot,Strap from Engine to chassis all OK.
Please help as all my journey's cannot involve stopping long enough to let the car cool down....

if the spark is weak, what about leads and coilpacks?

i had the same problem it was the water temp sensor.the part is around ten pounds five min job .its down by the rad scewed in to water pipe .you can test it by just unpluging it and then try to start should start first time .give it a go

How about; unplugging one coil and try starting , then try starting on the other one if it starts easier on one coil then try swapping the coils over from bank to bank, if the easier starting coil suddenly swaps to the other bank then the problem is with the coil itself.
If it make s no difference then its either the signal wire from the ECU, shorting out somewhere or possibly poor earth for the spark itself in which case measure the leads resistance ( should be roughly the same on all) and try a set of plugs?

connect to pc again from cold,what do the lamdas read
