Well im competing in the Rmax challenge right now and, well im piss broke because of it. Mind you i am 19 working and going to school, on top of the karting. So my life is pretty busy and there leaves no time to take up a second job or more hours cause that would destroy my college grades.

So on to the quesiton at hand. I had an epiphany of sorts last night and thought hmm" would'nt motorcycle racing be a little cheaper?" Well i don't know and im asking you kind fellows for some answers. I spend about 300-500 dollars every race weekend including entry fee and paying for a tuner to help teach me the chassis setup.

I guess my questions are how much do you guys spend on racing your bikes?? DOn't bother including the price of the bikes im not worried about that.

DO you have to tune the bike chassis a bit?? i.e. shock bound/ rebound that sort of stuff. or is it just fuel up and go race??

Well, last year the one make SV650 Minitwin series cost me something like this:

Brands Hatch entry fee + practice day = £250
Tyres for weekend = £210
Fuel = £30

So that's £490 before you've even travelled or eaten anything...and it's provided that you don't crash. I've had to give it up for the moment since buying a house recently. Goodbye disposable income.

What you desperately need is sponsorship. I had a little and it helped a great deal. That's the way forward. Good luck.

The tyres were the worst bit. It was keeping up with the Jones's really, but nowhere could I get Pirelli Supercorsa Pro's in SC1 and SC2 for less.
