Best sounding car thread - Page 1 - Wedges

Thanks very much Digga, I must admit that I looked at many cars choosing this one. I do have a bit of a thing about green cars, and when i was motorcycling the first thing i used to do was paint the wheels GOLD. My particular inspiration for this car came from a car we had at work that we were repairing for the Goodwood festival. It is the XJR-9 in my profile. It has the same gold wheels with polished rims and looks great on the car. My wheels were the normal grey colour Wedge wheels but were a bit scabby, so i nitromoored the paint/plastic coating off them and then bought a polishing mop and sanded then polished the alum until it came up shiny, then painted the centres gold. There was a really chavvy colour gold ie glod plated but I thought that might be a bit too much. Maybe try that later in the summer to see what it looks like. Altogether it cost me about £15 to turn scabby grey wheels into those that are on the car now, oh and a few worn out fingers. You look like you have made a pretty good job of yours, I like the Two tone on your car. Looks like you spent a few weeks in the garage aswell.
