performance increase...

I was driving the chim yesterday through a lot of traffic with no problems until i hit quite a steep slope. With the car in neutral, no handbrake and no foot on the brakes it just sat there not moving forwards...i would have expected the car to roll forwards being on a steep bank. Anyway got through the other side of newcastle on to open roads and noticed a burning rubber smell. The front nearside brake had seized.

Anyway got the car home...stripped down all the brake calipers and applied loads of copper slip to everything and now the acceleration and braking have improved dramatically. I cant beleive the differnce it has made.


I use the car everyday and the salt / cr*p build up on the front calipers was unbeleivable.

Anyway just thought it might be worth pointing out to all the daily users out there...!!!

By the way i am taking Chim down worthing tonight from newcastle so if anyone is on the M1/M25 keep an eye out!!!
