I had my diffuser repainted on the Tam. I took it off and took to dealer. It cost £80 quid.

It took me less than 20 minutes to remove the rear diffuser and then another 20 to put it back on. Ask them if their calulator handles fractions!!

TEN HOURS LABOUR!!!!!!!

I am sure that if any one of us were incompetent enough to spend 10 hours on a very, very simple job, we would get the boot!

Really

Where abouts are these comedians?

I think £800 is a lot of money to get a rear diffuser painted. I think £800 to remove the rear perspex windows, break them, provide new ones, refit the new ones after painting……and remove , paint and refit the diffuser, may well be about right.

I suspect, but you don’t say, that it may be one of those daft colours that cost a fortune for paint?

Would always suggest a second quote, but make sure the new guy that’s quoting understands the job.

Spoke to them this morning, awaiting a breakdown for just the diffuser.

Apparently the Perspex windows normally break when removed so new ones are required.

Unfortunately new ones come unpainted and also require cutting to shape

Getting a second quote on Saturday.

Hope you can get it down a bit as it is a lot of money for what is minor corrective work.

Estimate 2 - Fix Windows and paint rear diffuser........ £300

As they already have the paint in stock I'm only being charged for what is used, I'm Guessing the first company had to order the paint in (so charge you for full litre).
