Cerbs In The City

Hi Chaps,

I was looking through previous forum posts, and saw the "Cerbs In The City" post from
2005. This looked and sounded awesome, and the post I veiwed had 10 pages of responses.

From the looks of it, the day was a blast, 15 or so Cerbera's cruising around London
from one tourist spot to another!

I also saw the pics of the BiB pulling a stream of cerbs near Liv St. : 0 )

I can only imagine how much fun 15 or so Cerbs together would be in the city. The noise of the exhausts bouncing off the tall buildings & inner city tunnels must of been amazing!

Any way, I was wondering if this is an event held regularly or has it been repeated since 2005? If not, I think with the sunnier days approaching it would be a cracking day to re-hold.

I havent even picked up my car yet (about 7 days and counting) but would love to make one of her first runs out with a bunch of her sisters in the city.

If this is a regular thing, please let me know when another day will be held and I will be there!

Hi Steve
I did the Cerbs in the City run, and all went well until we got to the city. The city bib do not like sports cars running round in groups and we where told to get out of the city NOW. I'd be up for it when I get the clutch fixed.

Look up Eddie 4.2 as he always seems to have a group thing going

Hi it was a good day, i think the problems we caused were highlighted by refusing to stop

Have you seen the Cerbs in the City video ? its in the TV section, think you might enjoy it.

It was a great event dispite the BIB attention, we should do it again.

Had seen the vid of the first one a while ago (before I owned one) but just been minded to revisit it and it does look good. Of course there is always the Tunnel Runs as well, but an all Cerb run looks fab.

Shall we throw some dates out there and then take it from there then. April for me is looking pretty manic and isn't huge notice so how about a Sunday in May? I could do 7th or the 21st, would they be any good for anyone?

I could if it was a weekday evening. Would bring it into work. I live 85 miles away and the thought of coming back into London at the weekend just fills me with dread!

Weekday evening is certainly doable for me also, my only concern would be the traffic, does anyone who did the last one remember what day you ran it on and roughly what time. Looks like you guys met in Battersea Park which seems as good a place as any for the sequel.

I work at Liv St so could do a weekday evening also. However, the traffic will be particularly horrendous
between 17:00 - 19:30 so it may not be ideal.

However, as a new chap, im happy to go with the flow but whatever day/date I will be there in the new chariot!

Traffic is quieter on the weekend, Sunday mornings are best.

I would have thought the only time such a thing was even worth contemplating was well after 8 on a weekday evening or on a Sunday morning to avoid being Cerbs overheating in a City traffic jam!

I agree a Sunday would be better (simply to much traffic before 8pm on the roads midweek), especially if the weather is fine.

Any thoughts on Sunday 30th April?

Me and my brother ( he must take the credit for the video) both attended the last one and as I said before it was a really great couple of hours, agree with the traffic comments, this would be no fun sitting in traffic, we met a Battersea park at about 11.00am on a Sunday and encountered no problems except the police !!!!!! so I would be up for a second go but think it would need to be on a Sunday.

The sound and sight of 15 Cerbera's going past the House's of Parliment and the look on the tourists faces were priceless.

Someone step up to the plate and get a date sorted, you wont regret it.
