Intermittent wipe (or not)

Hmmmm, any thoughts?

Intermittment wipe sort of stops half way back on the return stroke. pressing button helps it back. Normal constant wipe seems to be fine?

A very common fault, just a bad connection that appears after a while.

I can't tell you the fix, but it is a very quick job for a technician or someone in the know
and not expensive.

This is a common fault on most cars, usually inside the wiper motor housing is a 'wiper return track' it is ususlly an arc of metal with a wiper (brush) that runs along it. Basically it gets dirty or corroded or wears out completely. The fix is to take your motor apart, clean the track, re grease then put it back together. This is not a fix purly from the cerb, nearly all cars have motors constructed like this. If the cerb uses a strange and more wonderfull system then im sure someone will intervene!

Edited to say, the return track us in the motor gearbox housing and not within the motor itself.

I had this problem, a new wiper park switch sorted it out cost £8.41 fitted by TVR Power on my last service.

And on mine water was getting into the connector block on the side of the motor. Expansion tank out for a proper fix but you can just about get your hand in to make sure its sitting correctly.
