reverse light switch?

Hi,
Slight problem. Reverse light is not working, checked bulb and fuse all fine.
I guess there is a micro-switch somewhere activated by either the gear stick or linkage, question is where is it? anyone know.

On the side of the gear box bit of a barsteward to get to from underneath!
I think its on the near side of the box from memory.
