Anyone know anything about ECU pins? Where can I get details of what output to expect from each pin. Trying to establish which are lives to ECU. Also which are earths. Does anyone have details of what component goes to each pin? Is there an ignition relay for ECU?
ECU is showing I am losing power at crank ie 10v battery at rest down to below 8 and even as low as 1-3v at times whilst cranking. No wonder it struggles to start.. (but only in the cold).
The idea is see which lead into ecu is draining the power and trace it back and hopefully find the fault. Many thanks

I believe that some people run the ecu directly from the battery via a relay that is powered by the original supply to the ecu. The idea behind it is that a relay coil will operate at much lower voltage than the ecu itself negating the need to trace the actual fault that is much more likely to be a corroded connection someware! Sound like a bit of a bodge myself I would much prefair to find the actual fault. Someone will now post pictures of the wiring diagrams that are floating around

Thanks for that , all good advice and as you say prefer to find the fault rather than bypass it. Has somone got pictures of the wiring diagrams? i found some but none that show the ecu pins. Would the ecu amanufacturer be any use? thx for any help. Paul

I have some pics of the wiring diagram but they are pretty useless due to quality! you could try mbu for a pin out of the ecu but beware, the ecu in the cerb is different from the version they sell commercially (it even got the same number). I dont know if it is physically different or if it is just the software it is running. I think it would be a good idea due to the amount of electrical problems if everyone could pool together any electrical knowledge including wiring diagrams in one place!

After many days of trawling I have the following diagrams, Nose , Drivers Door, Body Harness, Steering Column and dash. As far as i can see to make a complete set then the main one that is missing is the engine compartment i.e. engine sensors, injectors, starter, alternator etc. Also no diag for alarm/immob (but I dont expect ny1 to post this type of info on a public forum), and finally no diag for the rear, light clusters, black boxes etc. Any help would be great. My plan is to aquire a complete set then re-draw them into a legible format then allow access from the forum proberbly via a website link or something. Any info on the security of the car (alarm/immob faults) will only be delt with personally (assuming i have the info (wich I dont!!))
