I would also be interested in doing this and live in Essex as well. Any advice on the DIY front?

i was thinking of creating a new design of afterburner lights. i haven't had the time to sit down and work it all out. seems there's interest though.

I think you will find that the correct shape light clusters are the Mk4 (?) Fiestas design, so any of the companies that do the 'Lexus' style rear lights will have some to fit. This I was told is the case for all Chims and Cerbs.

Definately Mk3 Fiesta and there are loads of the Lexus style ones on eBay... Personally I like the LED ones by Quadconversion

Might do it one day.

I just fitted the quadconversion LED afterburners. I'm very very pleased with the result, and it really updates the look too.

Easy job too.

Pics to follow i.d.c.

I have the later Chimaera ones, with the four Land Rover 101 lamps in the tail lamp assembly. A bit classier than the "Max Power" LED afterburners, IMHO.

Apart from trying to locate 3 self tapping screws each side and cutting away tons of black mastic sealer, its a doddle....did mine in about 3 hours!...

Quad conversations....and before its mentioned again, I prefered the 3 lights per side to the 4 light option, as IMO they look 'less busy'!
