Rossi looked ordinary..?
He got knocked off, remounted and rode with a damaged bike (?footpeg and therefore rear brake + broken brake lever)and he came 14th.
Doesn't seem very ordinary to me.
Great to see Ducatti winning.
Susi Perry came over as the most authoratative person on the tv. I thought she is turning into a real star.
Dump the others and give her the job, if she wants it.

Well I was all set to watch Rossi do his stuff but it seemed like Elias had other ideas
Think that Pedrosa is going to do extraordinarily well this season, too. Also seemed like Stoner (why does he look about 7 years old?) is really amazingly consistent where more experienced riders weren't.
Pity about my digital signal disappearing about 30 seconds from the end of the race, making me miss it

Rossi put himself in a position where there is a greater risk of being involved in a first (or second) corner accident by his poor qualy. spot. They've had several weeks (months?) to cure the chatter problem, so it's difficult to see Yamaha coming up with an instant answer now. And I think Rossi's head is elsewhere - 4 wheels - although how he has the arrogance to hope to emulate Surtees is beyond me.
And I still can't believe Pedrosa weighs less than 8 stone

How the hell does rossi's team mate (name escapes me sorry) keep his job? I wish i had his talking skills. Rossi is wiped out, no rear brakes, one peg, bars twisted, and stood around on the trackside for ten minutes scratching his balls and still beats his team mate to the finish line!

I dont think he has any intention to move to4 wheels. i recon hes playing ferrari along because hes the same as you and me and finds driving a ferrari F1 car damn fun. Hes just having fun and playing ferrari so the fun can continue. ive never read or heard him say anything about wanting to race in F1 or considering a deal in the future with ferrari. hes never given any commitment in the slightlest except that he commited to test once a month but thats because he doesnt need the extra time with yamaha who could give him a standard R1 and he would find a way to beat most of the field.
that said pedrosa did impress as did stoner. stoner actually missed the first half of tests because he was having surgery so its an even more impressive result.

Not so. He said in an interview on the BBC (on Sunday) that he would have to give an answer to Yamaha and Ferrari soon (because in effect both are waiting for his decision before committing to other riders/drivers). He also said that the extra fame of F1 may swing it. In that he does not need any more public recognition as it is.

Edwards (2*WSB world champion, Suzuka 8hrs winner).
He's running on reputation. Also look at the number of big names that have failed to cut it. Biaggi, Barros, Bayliss, Roberts, Checca. Biaggi, Barros and Bayliss finally made way for some youngsters but after how many years of under performance? Roberts just collected the money at Suzuki for years (maybe they should have spent his wages on development). Checca has had factory rides for years and years and he's won nothing.

Bit harsh on Barros - he did after all beat Rossi once last year - one of 3 others to do so.

So Mr. Ego is already assuming that he will be the latest hot thing if he goes to F1. Unbelievable.

Guessing you're not a fan of 46, then?

I think Rossi was just unlucky this weekend. He started by leading the times on Friday, then was unfortunate to hit oil left on the track by Hoffmann at the start of Saturday's qualifying, ruining his number1 bike. After that he was always up against it, but still managed to gain some points from the weekend. As they said on Eurosport, what a way to make the season interesting, give Rossi's rivals a 20 point head start after the first race!
As for going to Ferrari, I think a move to Ducati might be more likely!

he says he'll give an answer not that hes considering his options but that soon ferrari will want him to commit and his ride will be over. and i recon he'll be back in the yamaha or 2 wheels at least.
he played around with rallying 4 a while but thats not happened

Your assumption is correct. Whilst I obviously accept that he is talented, it would be interesting to strip out the Burgess factor from the equation. I think that would reveal a quite different picture. And IMHO his attitude, whilst maybe what the non-enthusiast public enjoy, is more than occasionally unprofessional. And IIRC he even suggested last year that he wanted to emulate Fast Freddie by winning the 250 and top class titles in one year. Yeah, right....

Maybe tiny light riders are the way to go ...An easy way to shed 15-20 kg from the bike package...must be worth a few clicks round the circuits....
As long as they can hang onto a 250 bhp monster for 25 laps. Mind you, Loris is not that much taller than Pedrosa, but he does seem to be a bit wider

Just one of those weekends for Vale...
Front end chatter,
Ruined No 1 bike after oil on track,
Punted off 1st corner.
I reckon 99% of the other riders would have pitted and sulked though. THATS what makes a champion!
I have a morbid curiosity to see Rossi in F1
, but hope he stays in M/GP and switches to Ducati. An Italian on Italian bike. Tifosi would go mental..

Talented enough to win two world championships without the Burgess factor!
