is it a simple job, or is anything going to trip me up

Easy enough to do if you have the star socket that fits the six plenium bolts.
You will need to seperate from the throttle controls or the throttle body from the plenium if you want to take it away from the engine completely. Also disconect TP and Air bypass valve on front of plenium as well as vacumn pipe.
You will need a new plenium gasket before you return it to the inlet manifold...(they are not cheap) and a torgue wrench.
You want the gasket without the spacer plate that some later 2.9 V6 Colognes had fitted, so take the old one along to the dealer.

Happy cleaning

tvrimp,

Have you a 2.9 or 2.8

I only ask as I have a spare, no longer required, 2.8 plenum and throttle body which can be had for free if it saves you being off the road.

Mail me if you are interested as I am not too far away from you.
