Had 996 in for a minor service at OPC today. Requires various items attending to(no surprise there then).New side light bulb req'd £38.66inc.

No. Sounds like standard book time for that job... 20 minutes....

The thing is do that yourself... and save the money.

There was a report in the times last week about this very thing. Apparently a new golf costs £115 to have the side light bulb changed at VW as the front bumper has to come off. Renault Meganes need the front wheels taking off to do the same.

Who actually decides that it's acceptable to have to take your car apart to replace simple items like this need their head taking off to check for a brain.

on 'the garage' a sky prog about a car repair business in spain a guy was charged £190
iirc for a headlamp bulb as they had to run diagnostics on it to check it wasn't a more serious problem !
