Steering rack for Griff

Does anyone know what car Griffith 500 steering rack (with power steering) is from - need a new one (for tomorrow!). I know I could get one from TVR, but need to know whether my local garage can get one tomorrow. Any help appreciated.

TVR specific unfortunatly, Have you tried some of the breakers, bell hill...douglass valley or reckon maybe cheapest.

New TVR cannot supply until further notice. Apparently their component supplier has gone bust! SH there are a few out there but most breakers will only sell them with the pump and fittings etc as a kit. I am having trouble geeting mine reconditioned again because of parts availability. Bl--dy nightmare!!

After seeing this, I had a chat with Mike from Horizon Motorsport yesterday when picking my motor up, he didn't seem too worried. Apparently he has someone refurb them with a 4-5 day turnaround. Couldn't get anymore info out of him (fair enough really) but it could be an option if anyone gets stuck?

Might be worth giving these people a try, they were advertising TVR racks recently and list TVR under the models they supply www.power-steering.co.uk/powersteering.htm

Thanks for help. I haven't got any further with it yet & may look at the seals now & hope it's these instead. I'll let you know.

A certain Power steering company has had my rack for 2 weeks. I spoke to them yesterday and they still can't tell me when they will have it done. I have made loads of calls to TVR specialists breakers etc etc. The power steering rack for a Griff or chimera is a big problem to fix. They are not available until further notice new from TVR and hard to find second hand.
