Hi does anyone know how easy it is fit parking distance control to a E39. I've found a nice one that has most of what i want except this. Can it be done, & if so by an indy or must it be by a stealer. Any idea of how much this will cost?

I fitted a £50 set up with four sensors to my 98 523. Stealers quoted £250+. I guess indy would charge 2 hrs labour. All the holes are in the rear bumper behind the black trim strip, all you have to do is drill the holes in the trim. The hard part is threading the wires back into the boot through the box sections that form the rear sill. The control unit and beeper work on the reversing light cable.

was the £250 quote for fitting your aftermarket one or a BMW one?

Which kit did you purchase & how are you finding it?
