OPC second hand cars - fight for your rights

Hello to you all.
I have recently had a bad experience with an OPC and a 2002 996 TT I bought from them 5 months previous. Door sill corrosion caused by the ss sill plate, split exchanger hose and corroded heat exchangers. I was told by the service manager that even though I had only owned the car for 5 months and had done only 2,500 miles (total 27k) that despite that and the warrenty, tough. Bill of £1,400.
So I complained. I got in contact with Porsche HQ, wrote letters and threatened to sue, being in the legal trade. They have backed down and are doing all the work as well as giving me a courtesy car.
Anyone have similar problems? If so, don't be fobbed off too easily.

As for the car, I have been using a Cayman S and now a 997 c2s today as courtesy cars. I had a long motorway journey today and I can say I miss my Turbo; although having had a 993 3.8 previously, that slightly more edgey go kart feel is fun on the B - roads.
As with OPC, I note there are a few posts regarding being ripped off. My advice is presume poor service and fight. The OPC seem to operate at an almost begrudging fashion towards Porsche UK. One of the techs I bumped into today said how they hated Porsche UK telling them what to do and it was their (Porsche UK) fault that the OPC had treated me like they had as they were only following orders. Heard that before.
I hope Porsche get a rein on it and don't go Mercedes.
As for the works - ongoing. But I intend to have a close inspection when finished of the whole car for bumps, lights out etc. This whole thing just puts you on edge.

In terms of service, i now tell then precisely what to do which is down to annual service / fluid changes. I prefer to do the rest myself.
I do not blindly accept recommendations and am generally underwhelmed with the service.

Sometimes it is best to find a good garage and take whatever car you have to it, be it BMW, Porsche, Merc etc.
As for after sales, my last purchase involved a clutch replacement which they did without quibble, but i never got the second key and still only have one key even though i handed over to them the complete set of keys from my 993 as part ex.
