Fuel pressure...
Discussion
Got myself an adjustable rising rate fuel pressure regulator this weekend. Spent around an hour fitting it and adjusting the pressure, a good improvement all round. Before i had a smooth idle, now its even smoother. Better throttle response and accelleration. Also the engine pinking that sometimes appeared through the gears has completely gone. Timing is set 4*BTDC, fuel pressure at 39 psi-2.7bar. I think i feel a rolling road coming along soon. Anyone recomend a good one who knows the way around a v8, i live in south-east london. By the way if your interested you can see the power valve on. Rollingroadtune.co.uk click on FSE. Part no is PBV38437230, with the guage its about £80.
Shame no one else seemed interested! but i've replied cos i'm interested in the regulator myself.
I must admit my 390SE is not giving me any running probs, but i've read only good things about them.
I tried that website you mentioned but it didnt work.
does your regulator come with a pressure guage?

I had peninsula supply and fit one to my 400SE. The throttle response was awsome really noticeable. the pickup also seemed sharper and cleaner than when it was running the standard pressure regulator.
Not sure of the power increase, but I had mine adjusted to give maximum fuel flow on a fully open throttle and at almost peak revvs. This results in slightly overfuelling when your not gunning it, but it also seems to have had a egligable effect on the economy of the car. Now when you snap teh throttle shut high in the revvs, you get a multitude of pops bangs and flames produced.
