Starting Problems

Just bought my new toy (Cerb 4.5) and have had trouble starting it. I started it maybe 30 odd times with no issue, but after leaving it for a couple of days, it just kept on turning over, sounding like it wanted to start and firing every now and again, but never actually taking!
The only way of starting it was to squirt some easy-start in the air intake - went at first turnover. Anyone got any ideas? This has only happened to me twice. Sounds like it could be a mixture problem, but Im not a car mechanic!
