can anyone help with this annoying problem please ?
My Broadband connection via AOL keeps displaying "local area connection" is limited or no connectivity and at this point the Modem connection is lost but then reconnects within 30 seconds. this is a contonuous process.
its only started in the last day or so but I cannot work out the fault.
can anyone help out ?
many thanks

I've seen a couple of these recently with other ISP's. In each case, turning off the firewall cured the problem. Once we knew that it was the firewall causing the problem a quick update to the firewall software cured the problem. I think in one case we had to uninstall/reinstall the firewall but it still cured the problem. We have seen this problem with Norton and Bullguard recently.
It could of course be something completely different................
It could easily be a faulty modem for example.
