been offeered a Asus laptop, is this a good price?
Discussion
Hi guys, hoping someone with computer experience / sales can help me.
I've been offered a ASUS W2Vc-U011P, mint condition, 6 months old.(1.5 years warrenty remaining)
He's asking £1075 for it. Is this a good price? I've seen this laptop in Selfidges
for £1,499 new. Also, what checks on the laptop should I do before purchase, Any help great greatly appreciated as this is a large amount of money and I don't want to screw up! Mark

The new price is still around the £1400 mark. TBH though the W2 series is designed to be the "home theatre for the digital era" (www.asuslaptop.co.uk/categories.php?cat=5) and has a lot of functionality that personally I would not use in a laptop (Digital TV tuner for a start). Looking at the Asus website I'd be more tempted by the www.asuslaptop.co.uk/proddetail.php?prod=Asus_Laptop_A6KM-Q013H&cat=17 which is significantly cheaper.
