Can anyone recommend a good camera to attach to the helmet, or bike really. Just worried about vibrations and want to get the footage from the highest vantage point.

Cheers.

Ive just bought one! havent tried it yet, but if your eyeballs arent shaking, then the helmet should be a good call.

The con around vibration is they use thiick thick thick velcro padding sponge gubbins which soaks the small stuff up.

rf-concepts are the best bet, however ebay is kool.
you still need an annoying 8 battery pack for the power, unless you wire it to your battery, and a camcorder that takes AV-IN. Any canon with -i in the name works. Ive bought a canon jobby for £270

archos do a archos500 with an optional digital bulletcam that needs no extra power, but its £700 for the set.

I reckon any decent cctv camera might do the trick from maplins however.

Have had great customer service from David at fastfilms - www.fastfilms.co.uk - might be worth calling him.

Thanks mate, appreciate the response.
So basically, get a camera, wrap in sponge/velcro, and plug it into my camcorder!!

Cheers.

Surely you want something like this, ie a Bullet Cam ?

www.cameras4sports.co.uk seem to have a decent selection & advice on what to choose.

They also sell helmet clips, etc, etc.

Yeah, that's the kinda thing. I'm guessing that 2 of those leads plug into the camcorder, and the other one is a battery?

Well, it looks like the Camcorder doesn't have the "port" reqwuired. I've got an "AV out" thingy, but not the "AV IN".

So, that's that then!

thats exactly what I have. the yellow and white need to go into another set of wires to convert it to a single AVIN connector, and the thing that looks like a 9V battery terminal goes onto a pack of 8 AA batteries.

and yes, your camcorder needs av in!

Got the bike out of the garage last night, fired it up (using jump leads) and checked/lubed it all over - really chuffed it's o.k. (10 year old SRAD with 25k miles), even the tyre pressures were ok for the track! I was expecting a fraught day today ordering a few bits.

Will take a camera and get a few snaps and get them on line as soon as.

Excited or what
