Can anyone help me out?
I'm trying to find the regs on carrying petrol in the back of a van, or truck trailor?
Its for race applications.
Is it permisable if there is another tank in the back?

I was told by the people at the service station nearest Snetterton that you can only carry a maximum of 20 litres in cans in an enclosed vehicle. Not sure how you would get on if you had a proper tank fitted.

We run a few cars in Britsports, and the fuel usage is phenomenal!
Its really dodgy carrying jerry cans about, so was wondering if there was a more elegant soulution!

'ADR' Regs or Carraige of Dangerous Goods Act ..... After looking into that I don't think you will want to go down the 'tanks' route !!!!

I would try contacting you local VOSA depot for up to date advice or - if you can find out who to speak to - your local police force and one of their Hazardous Chemical Advisers.

There are limits on what you can carry and then rules depending on what size vehicle you are in, etc.... I could tell you - if I was at work with two big, and I mean big, books in front of me. Without them this is the limit of my reply
