Micro Blisters

Anybody had micro blisters caused by dust cover (cotton).
My mates Chim has Micro blister on the top of the front wings, he is not sure if it was there already. His car is only used in the dry and according to him he never puts the cotton dust cover on when damp e.t.c.
We where debating whether the dust cover was absorbing moister in the garage and holding it next to the paint and if it could be causing the problem.?

No quite original , stone chips and the odd scratch e.t.c no over spray no masking up to window seal e.t.c.

I have heard that car covers may cause this type of problem, on PH somewhere!

Happened to my old Chim' when using a car cover, a very good quality one too. Was absolutely gutted. Ended up putting old towels over the high points of the car under the cover - seemed to stop any reoccurance of the problem.

I stopped using my "breathable" car cover for this very reason

Did you have to have it repainted or did it go down after drying out ?.

I noticed these on the nearside wing of mine after covering it with a cotton cover?

Mine has them on the doors where the seals sit but it does live outside.

So now paint isnt waterproof ? so how come 'normal' cars dont rust away in a few weeks then ? or is there something special about Chim paint ? To find that car paint isnt waterproof would be a bit of a shocker....

My car came with a couple of micro blisters in place on the boot lid - but 10 months later with extensive use of a full cover no more have appeared.
