Looks like a quality job there. Yes, the car does look good without the pram hood. If only hood removal were a 5 minute job, I'm sure there would be a market for a nice trim to finish off that area without it for a neat summertime cruising only look.

yeah was thinking about that
guess the trim not to hard along the top
but had some thoughts about this, cause i loved the look of the car with the roof totally off.
how about drilling the bolt to take a pin so you could take out
some of the bolts are easy but the side bolts harder to get to but not that bad
all you would need is some one to press on the hood above the bolt to get the tenstion
then put pin in
just a idea

How much did it cost for your seats recovered and who did them if you don't mind me asking - am thinking of having mine done for my S - I am just up the road from you in Newcastle.

well my seats are half leather half viynal
bits you sit on were leather
anyway phoned coverall(stockton) and said would do it
anyway they said about 150 each on phone
when i got there the guys how much i had been quoted
and mistakenly said 125 each
he he
so 250 for both
only got leather done base and back of seat and left the viynal on the back of seat and on the sides
made a nice job will post some close up pictures later on

Hi, I have enjoyed looking at the pics of your new carpets, you've done a good Job.
Any chance you could list exactly what equipment you used, such as adhesive and did I se some double sided velcro!
Did you get the underlay from coverdale as well and did you glue the carpet to the underlay.

Thanks in advance.

well hee goes some more picys are up
here is what i used
2 craft knives one big one small
5 meters of scrim (from some where else)
carpet set
3 meters of same carpet for bits and bobs
drill plus couple of small drill bits
a small screw driver sharpened
3 tubes of 25 year garrentee silcone water proof clear (never will it leak again)
loads of washers bolts and nuts
some self tappers
about 9 spray cans of proper carpet glue (sets in like 30 secs)
little hacksaw
13 mm spanner and adjustable
can of hammer rite to paint where the bottom of the seat had a little rust/been marked

strip car 1 day
underlayed the car completly with scrim (sound deadner and cussioning affect)1 day
apply carpet 2 days
cut holes for every thing (used pointy screwdriver to find them)
was not double sided velco
replaced while i had the top off the velcro and improved by putting extra layer in between

just posted some more pictures up
also moved battery thats why one side not quite as neat as need extra carpet (that why i bought more)
just a strip about a extra foot longer to cope with that
also need to cut down the battery cover for everything to fit proper

any more questions be glad to answer

no problem
if you need any help and your close be glad to help
or if you need any advice on how to do anything just give me a shout
it is easier with 2 people if you can get a second person and quicker and some of the nuts are a nightmare
but looks good and a good feeling once done
i must admit cannot belive how better it looks now
by the way the red is antique red(in my opion was the closest one)
also i did not get the wool carpet (as wool stinks if gets slightly wet)
also got it bound in same colour not cream and got it latex backed
so if it does get wet will dry quicker
