0-100 times

I thought I read somewhere, that the 2006 R6 will do 100 in around 6 seconds. However, I'm can't seem to find where I read it. Would anyone know if I just made this up or not?!

sounds about right, as the Gixxer thou K5 does it in about 5.7 or thereabouts. The new 911 GT3 (997) does it in 8.4! Just like my caterham

This weeks MCN reports 0-60 time of 3.22secs for the new R6, but no time for 0-100!

ant the R1 does that without a gear change too.

sounds about right, the latest 1000s will do it in about 5.5 ish so 6 seems about right for the new R6.

I think it sounds a tad fast to me. I'm sure that only a couple of years ago it was 0-100 in about 7 secs for a 600 and the new one doesn't have that much more power. It makes me wonder if a magazine has been a bit enthusiastic with their claims OR Yamaha have improved their suspension enough to get the initial power down and not have the thing wheelie.
