Hi All,
Anyone have any details on this car ? Looks like a cheap 964 RS, but the colour change, non standard wheels and replaced rear bumper worries me....?
964 RS's are not as highly regarded as the 993 RS, will this go up in value ?

fair price, given the respray, lack of mag wheels, etc. For the cognicenti out there, the lack of an original under bonnet sticker and rims, etc, combined with fact that the seat squab colours are designed for a rubystone car may put people off. You'd need to think about any issues selling the car again with these points. IMHO of course...

What more needs to be said ? I think the fact you have doubts at this early stage should be ringing alarm bells .........
If you want a car purely for trackdays this might be the way to go. However as an example of a 964 RS to keep as an investment/depreciation proof bit of fun with an occasional trackday outing, I'd suggest you may need to dig deeper into your pockets.
Rav, "carefully" read the posts....as we have pointed out this is a fair price for this particular car. If you don't know much about the 64RS, take someone along who does.
Thre are a few 964RS around at the moment....this would appear to at the lower end of the price scale.....Gmund have an 8k mile 964 Clubsport up for 63k sterling at the other end of the scale.
Like all cars price will be determined by condition, originality, service history and supply/demand for a particular model.

I'd expect it's price to rise and fall inline with the general market trend for other used 964RSs ( mint examples appear to have become collectable and as suchhave a market all of their own) but rising and falling as a percentage of the low purchase price , which seems very reasonable to me.
I'd say it's a good buy (assuming a PPI confirms it's quoted condition) if you're going to give it plenty of use but if you're after an investment you'll probably be better off with an unmolested example.

I'd want to know why it's only been serviced 4 times in 14 years ! Doesn't strike me as a car that is likely to have been cherished and well looked after. The colour change and lack of original rear bumper centre section would suggest that this car has 'stories'. Provided repairs have been done to a good standard this shouldn't be a problem in itself.
That said I would be very wary as there may be more to this car (or less !!!) than meets the eye. As others have said, if all appears to be in good mechanical order then this makes a very good buy as a fun car.

The car is relatively cheap to begin with, so as a track toy, I think it is good VFM.
I wouldn't expect to get proper 964RS money when it comes to sell, but then again it would have been cheap to buy in the first place.
So in terms of being depreciation proof, I'd bet it is as solid as any other 964RS.

I have not seen the car in person, but have known about it for a month or two now and as with most things if you can get it for the right money, enjoy it.
I have had my RS for over a year now and they are incredible, nothing really can compare to the experience of driving one well.
Get it checked out first but the fact it has had a colour change and is not running mag wheels should not scare you off, my mags were refurbished a few weeks ago and I considered fitting a set of the wheels this RS has but decided to stay with the mags.
Have a look, have a drive, you will be bitten with the bug for sure

Hi Guys, well this is my 964RS i would be very very very suprised if you can find a 964RS that is in such good condition mechanically and bodily wise for this sort of cash , it really is a good car , im not trying to hype up the sale just telling you how it is , i was speaking to paul mac about the car a while ago and paul agreed its cheap Genuine 964RS for £23,995 but by all means call him to verify .
I am also happy to supply a HPI certificate with the car .

I wrote that about three or four years ago now and it really needs some updating. But there are probably better guides out there now. Particularly the 911&PW one. Oddily the price guide still holds "roughly" true. But really good cars probably fetch higher now.
