I'm thinking of buying from stirlings in cornwall. He'll agree a price and deliver without a deposit, taking payment on delivery!

Anyone delt with this company before ?

Cheers

I bought a car that Mark (?) of Stirlings was advertising for a customer. It wasn't "sold" by Stirlings officially - it was a private sale, but I did spend time talking to Mark about his impression of the car before making the effort to fly down there to buy it. He seemed to me to be a very honest fellow who is a firm believer in thoroughly verifying and prepping the cars that he sells. The zymol job that he'd had done on what became my porker was excellent.

A couple of PCGB members locally (Devon) have bought from Stirlings and are both well pleased, from what I've heard.

I have bought two cars off him and my father one. The guy is totally straight and honest, wouldnt hesitate to buy from him again and his cars are immaculate. He doesnt buy rubbish full stop. To be honest he is one of a pretty rare breed these days, a really nice honest trader who knows his stuff.

In summary, go for it, you wont be sorry!

(oh sorry yes his name is mark pearce and no im not affilliated with the company in anyway)

Yep - I bought one from him last year. I did the deal blind, on the proviso that he delivered the car to Kent, and if the car wasn't perfect, he'd be taking it back. When he turned up, he washed the car down to present it. He's a good guy - totally straight. Needless to say, the car was pretty much as expected. There was one small issue with part of the soft top, but to his credit, it was only visible when we removed the hardtop. He shipped a new part to me within a week. So, yes - totally recommended......Give him my regards..

I almost bought a car off Mark. Instead I gave him the runaround to my shame. I found him a pleasure to do business with - open, honest and he sent me all the paperwork / copies of SH and invoices he had spent at the Exeter OPC in preparing the car. At no time did he exert any pressure.

If only others were like him. Too many 'specialists' are out to make a fast buck and overlook items when it suits them, their sales patter, or their greed.

I would have no hesitation in buying a car from him.
